Manchester United have announced the signing of 22-year old Benfica defender Victor Lindelof for 30.1 million pounds.
The Sweden International has signed a 4 year deal and becomes the first signing for Jose Mourinho as the club are seriously pushing for the signing of Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata.
United have had a long-standing interest in Lindelof, but decided against making a move for him in January due to the upturn in their form and the return to fitness of a number of their central defenders
Lindelof a full Sweden International will provide some stability in defence for Manchester United and his signing could spell the end for English defender Chris Smalling.
