Sulley Muntari on Wednesday scored his debut goal for Hearts of Oak in their Ghana Premier League matchday 19 fixture victory over WAFA.
The left-footed midfielder opened his Hearts of Oak account in their 2-1 win against the Sogakope based side at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Muntari struck a 75th-minute penalty win sealed the victory for Samuel Boadu's side.
The win has jumped Hearts of oak to 6th of the table tied on 29 points with Medeama. The Phobians trail leaders Kotoko by 12 points.
Kwadwo Obeng Junior shot the Phobians into the lead after a barren first half. The forward scored a minute into the second half after he produced brilliant footwork before firing into the net.

However, WAFA pegged back the home side minutes later. Henry Owari scored from a free kick in the 55th minute to draw his side level, a goal Richard Attah should have done better.

Any hope of WAFA returning to Sogakope with a least a point were dashed when Hearts of Oak restored their advantage in the 75th-minute courtesy Sulley Muntari.
WAFAÂ goalkeeper impeded Patrick Razak in the penalty box and Sulley Muntari made no mistake from the spot.
