Greek tabloid Sentinel has reported that English Premier League side Stoke City have made an enquiry about the availabilty of Panathenaikos midfielder Mubarak Wakaso.
The Ghana midfielder who spent last season on loan at relegated Spanish side Granada will have his contract expiring in 2019.
Wakaso who is a tough tackling midfielder was one of the standout players for Granada despite their inability to stay in the Spanish top flight.
Panathenaikos have had difficulty in paying the wages of the Ghanaian and Stoke City might solve that issue.
The 27-year old has previously had spells in Russia with Rubin Kazan and and Celtic in Scotland.
The former Ashanti Gold midfielder was recently not part of the Black Stars squad that played Ethiopia in the AFCON qualifier and is still missing in the team to play Mexico and USA in friendlies.
