Former England captain, Wayne Rooney has been banned from driving in the UK for 24 months plus 100 hours of unpaid community service.

Rooney has already begun his 100 hours of community service which will see the Everton player removing graffiti from walls or clearing litter and rubbish from public areas.

He will also be repairing and decorating public buildings, such as community centres, and clearing undergrowth from paths and other areas.

As he endures these difficult moments, a picture of Rooney working as part of his community service has surfaced on the internet.

Stockport Magistrates’ Court presided over by District Judge, John Temperley slapped the ban on him after he admitted to drink driving.

The court heard that his alcohol level was 104 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath way above the drink-drive limit in England and Wales which is 35 microgrammes per 100 millilitres of breath.
