Owner of King Faisal Babies FC, Alhaji Karim Grusah has warned the GFA Normalization Committee against reports that academic qualification will be used as a measure for persons who are interested in contesting the FA Presidency and the Executive Committee positions.
There have been reports indicating that the Ad-hoc committee of the Normalization Committee are proposing that educational qualifications should be introduced to persons who will want to contest for top positions at the Ghana Football Association.
According to the reports only persons with Masters can contest for the Ghana Football Association Presidency as well as persons with Degrees will contest for the Executive Committee positions.
The ace football administrator, Alhaji Grusah, who has publicly declared to contest for the FA President seat in a bid to succeed Kwesi Nyantakyi who held the position for almost 13 years also added his voice to the issue in an interview on Kumasi-based Ashh FM on Monday.
"The Normalization Committee does not know what they are saying..if that is what the Normalization Committee want, then they should tell the Professors, Doctors, and Lawyers to form teams and let's see how difficult it is to bring up a football team"
"The Normalization Committee shouldn't think of proposing anything like that because it won't work...we don't need Professors, Doctors or Lawyers to direct us how to handle our football"
"Kwasi Kuma(founder of Kotoko) was a timber car driver and now see what Kotoko is doing in Ghana and African football,so the Normalisation Committee should not make any attempt to bring that proposal into our game"
"I'm waiting for the road map of the elections from the Normalization Committee before I start my campaign for the FA Presidency."
