Thomas Partey continued his incredible goalscoring form with a goal in Black Stars' 1-0 away victory over Zimbabwe in the FIFA World Cup qualifier.

The Arsenal midfielder for the second consecutive time scored against the Warriors in the World Cup qualifiers.

His first was against them three days ago at the Cape Coast Stadium when Ghana beat them 3-1.

And on Tuesday, at the National Sports Stadium, Harare he led by example as the Black Stars walked away with a vital win to go top of Group G temporarily.

Milo handed a starting role to Swindon Town shot-stopper Jojo Wollacott.

Daniel Amartey and Baba Rahman occupied the right-back and left-back positions respectively, while Jonathan Mensah partnered Alexander Djiku in defense.

In midfield, Thomas Partey paired with Andre Ayew as the two in front of the back four.

Jordan Ayew, Kudus Mohammed and Kamaldeen Suleman were the attacking trio with Benjamin Tetteh leading the line.

The match began at a slow pace with both sides failing to break each other for the opening 30 minutes.

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey who was the captain on the day as Andre Ayew sat on the bench showed his qualities as he struck a 25-yard free-kick in the roof of the net to Ghana give the lead.

Despite Partey's powerful strike, the goalkeeper Talbert Shumba should have done better to prevent the goal.

Ghana nearly doubled their lead on the stroke of halftime but Daniel Amartey's effort after Zimbabwe goalkeeper failed to parry a corner kick was cleared off the line.

Black Stars continued effort to add to their lead saw them hit the bar from Kudus Mohammed's curler in the second half.

With no goals scored and 90 minutes played, Egyptian Referee Amin Mohamed Omar brought proceedings to an end at the National Sports Stadium, Harare.

Ghana now top Group G with 9 points from 4 games and would be awaiting the result of the South Africa vs Ethiopia game scheduled for a 4 pm kick.

South Africa trail Ghana by 2points while Ethiopia aplced 3rd with 3 points, Zimbabwe sit bottom with a point.
