Assistant Coach of Aduana Stars, W.O Tandoh has revealed that hard work was the reason why head coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi named Yahaya Mohammed as the skipper of the club.

Yahaya Mohammed was named as the new captain of the club on July 23, 2018, replacing goalkeeper Joseph Addo.

With concerns being raised as to why Kenichi Yatsuhashi chose the striker as the skipper of the club, W.O Tandoh, who is the Assistant Coach of Aduana Stars disclosed that, Yahaya Mohammed is a hardworking player with a strong mentality and that earned him the armband.

"Kenichi's philosophy is hinged on hard work. Every individual has his God-given character regardless of Yaya's social difficulties, Kenichi has been told of Yaya's attitude but he is not looking at that. He is interested in Yaya's output".

"Also, the armband is to encourage Yaya to work harder", W. O. Tandoh added.

He said "had it not been the indiscipline attitude of Sasraku, Yaya's would have start from the bench but Yaya has shown he is a player we can count on him".

W. O. Tandoh said "he has the leadership qualities, organizational qualities in terms of difficulties".

"He can change things within a twinkle of an eye and everybody will go for that person", he told Accra based Ahutor FM.
