A Nigerian doctor in the UK, Cyprian Okoro has been found guilty of possessing “extreme and obscene†pornography, by jurors.
His stash which includes a video of a man having sex with a snake and a woman having sex with a horse were found on his mobile phone, and were alleged to have been received via WhatsApp, according to Mirror.
Alongside five videos deemed “grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of obscene character†which also featured sex with dogs, the 55-year-old general practitioner also had an indecent video of a two-year-old boy, stored in a password-protected “vault†app on his phone.
The defendant denied five charges of possessing extreme pornography and one of possessing an indecent image of a child.
He was however found guilty of all the charges except ‘possessing extreme pornography relating to bestiality with dogs’ by a jury at the Old Bailey of Cameron Place, Streatham in south London.
This will be Okoro’s  second conviction as he had earlier been convicted and sentenced to nine months in jail, and suspended for 18 months at Norwich Crown Court in 2014.
The Court of Appeal had ordered a retrial of the earlier sentence.
The presiding judge, Richard Hone QC noted that Dr Okoro’s 2014 sentence was “frankly lenient†whilst describing it as a “quite unusual caseâ€.
“The evidence shows there is a prodigious amount of pornographic material, some of it illegal, the majority of it not.â€
“He is very lucky not to be immediately imprisoned and this was quite a bad case,†the judge stated.
Judge Hone granted the defendant bail and and adjourned his sentence to September 30.
Dr Okoro had first come to the attention of police after a woman made an allegation of sexual assault against him, but no further action was taken over the claim.
