Net2 TV cameraman killed by Atomic Gas Explosion

The man who allegedly fell from the Atomic Junction overpass during last Saturday’s gas explosion has been identified as Mohammed Ashalley, a cameraman at Net2 TV.

The family of the deceased Mohammed, who was an employee of Madina-based Net2 TV, were at the morgue to identify the body, Monday.

The circumstances surrounding the death of the cameraman is unclear but eyewitnesses said the he was standing on the overpass and fell from the top to the ground during the explosion.

An explosion and fire which erupted at the Mansco gas filling station at Atomic junction in Accra, Saturday night claimed the lives of 7, injured 132 and set several vehicles ablaze.

The Information Ministry has said out of the injured at least 64 persons have been discharged with 68 others receiving treatment.
