Year in review: Notable deaths in 2024

It’s the last day of 2024 and many Ghanaians will be bidding the year goodbye.

However, some Ghanaians could not live to see the end of the year as the year rather bid them goodbye.

John Kumah: The Deputy Finance Minister and Member of Parliament for Ejisu, John Kumah, died on March 7th, 2024, at the age of 45, after a short illness.

 

Clement Ike Quartey Snr: The boxing legend, who held the WBA welterweight title for four consecutive years (1994-1998), passed away on November 2nd, 2024.

 

 

Veteran actor Albert Jackson-Davis died on 14 September The news of his passing came to light on Saturday September 14.

 

 

Legendary Ghanaian traditional singer Naa Amanua Dodoo, known for her iconic work with Wulomei Band,also passed away this year.

 

 

Ghanaian footballer Hans Kwofie tragically lost his life after being involved in a deadly car on June 21 2024

 

 

 

Bright Owusu a.k.a C Confion: The rising comic actor passed away on December 20th, 2024, after battling a critical illness. He gained popularity for his roles in Dr. Likee’s comedy skits.

 

 

Osman Idris, popularly known as Yoghurt, one of the leading actors in the popular Junka Town movie passed on 11 June 2024 Yogot is known for his ability to play scammer roles in movies, earning him the name Baba No face. He died at the Great Faith Family Clinic at Effiakuma

 

Ghanaian gospel musician Kofi Owusu Dua Anto popularly known as “KODA,” died on 21st April 2024
