Stonebwoy, born Livingstone Etse Satekla and goes with a baritone music descant ‘BHIM’ (Bless His Imperial Majesty) which connotes an explosion of sound, lyrics, and talent was born on March 5, 1988, in Ashaiman, a suburb of Accra and hails from the Volta Region, and placed fourth (4th) in a family of seven (7) siblings.Â
Livingstone studied at Methodist Day Secondary School where he gained his High School Certificate. He continued his education at tertiary University of Professional Studies to earn a Marketing degree in 2013.
As far back as grade four (4), young Stonebwoy realized his love and passion for creative arts, having successfully scripted and acted for the drama club of his school and also put words together in a rhythmic manner. Since then, the young chap has never stopped singing both songs that he has written and composed and those by artiste he is influenced by.
He started performing as Stonebwoy since Senior High School as an underground rapper with motivation from his family, he appeared on a popular rap competition ‘’Kasahari Level’’ on Adom FM featuring Sarkodie, Yaa Pono, Dr. Cryme, among others and saw him knocking out several other rappers gaining himself underground popularity. It was through these rap battles and his style of music which caught the eye of Samini to sign him to his "Highgrade Family" record label.
Under Samini's 'Highgrade Family', Stonebwoy recorded his first hit single ‘’Climax’’ featuring Samini and subsequently ‘’Ghetto Love’’ featuring Irene Logan. Both songs earned him nominations at the Ghana Music Awards. The 31-years-old released his debut album ‘’Grade 1 Album’’ under his Burniton Music Group Label in the year 2012, and made Stonebwoy a household name in the Ghanaian music industry. He has since released two great albums, in addition, making three which are 'Necessary Evil' and 'Epistles of Mama' which is now one of the biggest reggae album on iTunes.Â
Thereafter, things happened in quick succession and Stonebwoy soon started work and decided to put into practice all he had seen and learnt when he formed his own record label called Burniton Music Group (BMG).

Knowing the direction he was heading with his career, Stonebwoy worked day and night with his team to ensure that they achieved the best. Today, the result of hard work is certainly paying off for the young chap with collaborations with international acts from Africa, UK, Jamaica such as Jah Vinci, Trey Songz, Gappy Ranks, Randy Valentine, Sakordie, Wayne Wonder, Laza Morgan, Samini, Obrafour, Black Prophet, R2Bees, Patoranking, General Pype Stylogee, Burna Boy, Morgan Heritage, Chris Martin, I Octane, Kranium and many others.
Branding plays a very important role within the BMG group, and as a brand, Stonebwoy’s popular catchphrase – “BHIM!!!!!‟(Bless His Imperial Majesty) has been largely received and accepted, not just within Ghana and Africa, but in Europe too.
Today, March 5, 2019, marks the 31st birthday of Livingstone Etse Satekla, Stonebwoy and to celebrates the day, he has been billed to headline the maiden edition of Independence Concert organised and hosted by Labadi Beach Hotel and Burniton Music Group.Â
The Independence concert forms part of Labadi Beach Hotel’s Entertainment offering to its patrons and the general public as we commemorate the ‘Year of Return’ and Ghana’s 62nd Independence anniversary.
The event starts at 6:00 pm prompt till midnight and will feature other acts such as the Bhim Band, sensational Afrobeats artiste, Kelvynboy, fast rising artiste, OV (winner of MTN Hitmaker 2018) and DJ Justice, all of the Burniton Music Group.
