Intiative Africa founder Ama Tutuwaa wins Miss Malaika 2021

The 19th edition of Miss Malaika Ghana came off on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at the Accra International Conference Centre and was telecasted live on GHone TV.

Ama Tutuwaa Osei-Akoto, a student of Clark University, was declared the winner of the pageant show.

The 19-year-old young Ghanaian lady and founder of Initiative Africa swept the crown away from nine other pageants who showcased their humour, fashion, and talents.

The programme saw Central University’s Asia Musah, 21, and graduate, entrepreneur and a model, Bintou Keita, 24, as the 2nd and 3rd runner up respectively.

AMA Tutuwaa is taking over the crown from Jasmine Djane, winner of Miss Malaika 2020.

For her prize, Ama Tutuwaa received the crown, an undisclosed amount of cash, a brand new car, and other benefits that traditionally come with winning the pageant.

The Miss Malaika pageant saw performances from musicians such as Mr Drew, Adina Thembi, S3fa, among others.

The show was hosted by Regina Van Helvert and Elikem Kumordzi with Berla Mundi, Naa Ashorkor, and KOD as judges for the night.
