The process to recruit soldiers for the 2017/2018 calendar year will begin tomorrow, April 25, the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).

In a statement issued on Monday, the GAF disclosed that online application cards will start selling across the country from Tuesday for eligible Ghanaians who wish to join the army to apply from May 8 to May 31, 2017.

According to the statement, adverts will be placed in the national dailies – Daily Graphic and Ghanaian Times- for details on the recruitment exercise.

“The sale of online application Scratch Cards will commence throughout the country on Tuesday 25 April, 2017 at designated Ghana Post Offices listed in the advert. The portal for the online application will be activated from Monday 08 to Wednesday 31 May, 2017. Interested persons can log on to www.gaf.mil.gh to apply".

The statement further warned prospective recruits that the military does not deal with middlemen in its recruitment exercise.

“The Ghana Armed Forces wishes to inform the general public that the Force does not employ middlemen or charge fees for recruitment. The public, therefore, is strongly advised to desist from paying monies to any person(s) who present themselves as agents or middlemen with the promise to help potential recruits join GAF,” the statement noted.
