President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Joseph Anokye as the acting Director-General of the National Communications Authority (NCA).
According to a letter signed by Communications Minister-designate, Ursula Owusu who is acting as the representative of President Akufo-Addo at the ministry, Mr Anokye's appointment is with immediate effect.
Mr Anokye, a Telecommunications engineering service manager at NASA, the US space agency, was the Technology Director of the NPP 2016 Campaign team and the brain behind the party's collation centre which was used to collate results from 80 percent of polling stations within a record eight hours after polls had closed.
He takes over from William Tevie.
