Attack on Ayawaso West Wuogon NPP office: Six more suspects arrested

The Ghana Police Service has arrested six persons who were declared wanted in connection with the attack and destruction of some properties at the Ayawaso West Wuogon office of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Sunday, July 7, 2024.

The six suspects identified as Alhaji Issah Kamara; Theophilus Kodzo Bedzra; Abdulai Victoria Naematu Nadolie; Hope Adzrah; Francis Agbessi Funu and Christian Biakuse are currently in Police custody assisting with investigation.

The latest arrest brings the total number of suspects arrested so far in connection with the incident to seven.

The police in a statement dated Sunday, July 7, 2024 launched a manhunt to arrest a group of people who attacked and destroyed some properties including two vehicles at the Ayawaso West Wuogon office of the NPP.

When the incident occurred, the Police quickly arrested Judith Trisy, who was identified as one of the people who attacked the Ayawaso West Wuogon office of the NPP.

Sharing the latest development on Thursday, July 11, 2024, the police gave an assurance that "all other suspects will be arrested and brought to face justice."
