In a statement on Saturday, March 23, 2024, following the conclusion of the tournament, Akufo-Addo commended the athletes for their outstanding performances, dedication, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has withdrawn its approval for the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, Ghana, due to technical infractions, including an unsuitable playing field.
The decision was made after observations made by CAF during the recent Africa Cup of Nations Qualifying match between Ghana and Angola, which was played at the Baba Yara Stadium on September 5th, 2024. Based on these observations, it was determined that the stadium did not meet the required standards for hosting Category 3 international matches.

Speaking at the emergency sitting of Parliament aimed at looking for solutions to the problem, Majority Chief Whip Frank Annoh Dompreh said that the NDC polluted the water more than the NPP so they shouldn’t try to pin it on the ruling government.

Popular Ghanaian socialite and singer Mona Faiz Montrage known as Hajia4Reall was sentenced to one year and one day in jail in the US for her involvement in a romance scam.

Court of Appeal acquits and discharges Ato Forson, Jakpa in Ambulance Case

EC declares Mahama winner of 2024 presidential elections
Mahama obtained 6,328,397 votes representing 56.55% while flagbearer of the NPP, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia placed second, garnering 4,657,04 which represents 41.61% of the total ballots cast.
Re-collation: Supreme Court quashes results in Tema Central, Ablekuma North, Techiman South, Okaikwei Central
A five-member panel of the Supreme Court annulled re-collated parliamentary election results for Okaikwei Central, Ablekuma North, Tema Central, and Techiman South.
The panel chaired by Justice Gabriel Pwamang on December 27 overturned the Electoral Commission’s (EC) re-collation and subsequent declarations for the above-mentioned constituencies, which had been the subject of intense legal and political disputes.
“Since the orders which have been brought to be quashed are separate and distinct we have decided to exercise our discretionary power to quash by certiorari having required to the peculiar circumstances of each ruling.
“Consequently, we hereby quash the orders of mandamus made for collation of results by the EC in the following constituencies Okawkwei Central, Ablekuma North, Tema Central and Techiman South.” he said.
