C/R: KIA Truck, private car collision kills two at Assin Edubiase

A fatal accident has claimed two lives with one injured at Assin Edubiase in the Assin South district of the Central region.

Confirming the incident to primnewsghana, the Commander of the Assin South Police Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate (MTTD) Chief Inspector Kwaw said “the accident happened yesterday at 1:40pm between a KIA truck and Pontiac Vibe private car"
According to him, the KIA truck loaded with charcoal, was coming from Techiman torwards Takoradi collided with a private car coming from Accra to Obuasi when the private car lost control.
The driver of the private car, identified as Charles Appiah, 24, and a passenger Yaa Bakwa, 42, died while another passenger in the private car who is said to be the mother of the driver survived and was rushed to St Francis Hospital Assin Foso for treatement.
