The Ministry of Education has issued a statement encouraging the public to dismiss what it describes as a “misleading publication” that implies the government intends to abolish the Teacher Trainee Allowance.
The Ministry expressed its concerns regarding a front-page article in the Tuesday, 4th February 2025 edition of The Daily Graphic, which bore the headline “Teacher Trainee Allowance to Go.”
The Ministry deemed the headline not only sensational but also misleading, as the content of the article itself suggested a different narrative.
The statement affirmed, “We wish to categorically clarify that the news item does not accurately represent the statements made by the Hon. Minister.”
