A rainstorm on Tuesday evening wreaked havoc across the capital, leading to severe flooding and damage to properties in East Legon.
Other areas in Accra, such as Madina and Okponglo, were not spared.
At the A&C Mall in East Legon, the force of the storm tore solar panels off the carport’s roof, causing extensive damage to parked cars and the structure itself.
Over 50 cars were trapped under the fallen roof, with windscreens smashed.
The torrential downpour submerged major roads, leaving many commuters stranded.
Strong winds toppled billboards, some of which crashed onto vehicles and buildings.
