The three women involved in the stealing of a baby in Kasoa have been granted bail by the Ofaakor Circuit Court.

The three suspects, Magdalene Nana Adwoa Boafo, 28, Faustina Binney, 32, and Eunice Koomson, 36, were arrested by the Kasoa Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit of the Ghana Police Service on Friday, July 19, 2024.

The court, presided over by Isaac Oheneba Kufuor, has granted the accused persons bail with three sureties and amount of Ghc100,000.00 after counsel of the suspects Abdul Aziz Mohammed’s plea.

The suspects were remanded at their first appearance in court on Monday, July 22, 2024.

The counsel pleaded for bail on the grounds that his clients are nursing mothers and have been away from their children for a while now hence the need to allow them to go home and take good care of their children whiles the case continuous in court.

The accused persons are to reappear before the same court on 7th August 2024.
