A one-week memorial service has been held following the Passing of Promise Atsu Dayi, the mobile money vendor who was shot dead by some suspected robbers on Monday, August 21, 2018, at Asylum Down in Accra.
 The family has, however, scheduled September 21-22 2018, for the final funeral rites of their son, which will be held at the family house of the deceased, Asylum Down, where the Atsu Dayi resided until his untimely death.

In an interview with PRIMENEWSGHANA at the one-week memorial service of the deceased, head of the family, James Odorfornoo announced that preparations are underway for an autopsy to be conducted on Thursday, August 30, 2018.
"They are going to do the Post-mortem this Thursday, and after the Postmortem, we will hold the funeral on the 20th- 21st September 2018 here in this house Accra, and after the funeral, we would want to take the body home for his burial. His Parents are old and can't be in Accra so they want to see their poor child" he added.
Promise Atsu Dayi, a mobile money vendor at Asylum Down, was shot by some armed men on August 21, 2018, between the hours of 7: 30 to 8:00 pm, as he was preparing to close for the days business.
The unknown gunmen allegedly attacked the vendor and in the process of struggling to take his money from him, shot him in the chest.
