The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo left Ghana on Sunday March 19, 2017 to attend the 5th edition of the Africa CEO forum in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Forum is expected to bring together CEOs of the largest African and international companies, political decision makers from more than 40 African countries and investors on the continent.
In a statement signed by the Director of Communication at the Presidency Eugene Arhin read;
“Whilst there, President Akufo-Addo will also hold meetings with Mr. Michael Sidibe, Executive Director of UNAIDS; the Swiss Minister for Economic Affairs, Johann Schneider-Ammann; and with the Ghanaian community in Geneva.â€
The statement added that, President Nana Akufo Addo is expected to arrive in Ghana on Thursday March 23 2017.
However, in tandem with the 1992 constitution of Ghana, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will serve as the President for the time being to manage the day-to-day administration of Ghana until President Akufo Addo returns.
