The daughter of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Anne on Wednesday, April 5, paid courtesy call on the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi as part of her two days’ visit to Ghana to foster trade relations between the two countries. Speaking on her behalf at a mini durbar organised by the traditional rulers of the Asante Kingdom, the British High Commissioner to Ghana John Benjamin said Her Royal Majesty Princess Anne lauds the developmental progress of Ghana in a 6oyears journey and also recognises the unique bond between the two monarchs.

“This is an opportunity for us to recognise the unique bond between our two countries and to extend a friendship between our two royal families that dates back to generations.â€
“This is her royal highness the Princess’s third visit to Ghana, as Ghana marks its 60th anniversary with themes of reflection, celebration, challenge and togetherness we can also celebrate, our friendship has grown and mature over the past 60years and essential to that have been the strong links between United Kingdom and the Kumasi and the role played by the Manhyia Palace and by yourself Otumfuo your Majesty", she added.
