Seven people lost their lives on Monday, 5 February 2024, when a truck collided with a commercial mini-bus along the Amasaman-Nsawam section of the N6 highway in Greater Accra.
Eyewitnesses reported that the mini-bus driver had slowed down due to a pothole on the road, a consequence of the ongoing reconstruction of the Pokuase-Nsawam stretch of the highway.
However, the speeding truck behind failed to decelerate in time, resulting in a devastating collision.
Three individuals managed to survive the accident. Eyewitnesses recounted the horrific scene as they extricated the victims from the wreckage, but sadly, they were unresponsive.
