The Electoral Commission (EC) has confirmed that the special voting exercise for the Eastern and Western Regions will be held today Thursday, December 5, 2024.
In a circular released on Wednesday, the EC assured voters in these regions that all necessary measures had been taken to address earlier challenges.
It follows the cancellation of special voting in the two regions on Monday, December 2, 2024, due to defects identified on the ballot papers.
The EC stated that the issue had been resolved and expressed confidence in conducting a smooth voting process.
The special voting exercise is designed to allow security personnel, media practitioners, and election officials to cast their ballots ahead of the December 7 general elections.
