The immediate past National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, says the John and Jane ticket is best to take Ghanaians out of the current perilous economic situation.

He said Prof. Opoku-Agyemang, running mate to Mr John Mahama, NDC flagbearer, as a scholar broke the glass ceiling to become the first female Vice Chancellor of a public university in Ghana and Minister of Education Minister.

Addressing supporters of NDC in the Tema East Constituency, in the Greater Accra Region, as part of the campaign tour of the party’s running mate, he said the ticket was the best to secure Ghana’s future.

Dr Ofosu Ampofo said the running mate introduced technical universities as well as the progressively free education in Senior High Schools in the country.

“That is why our incoming President, Mr John Dramani Mahama, nominated her to be his running mate, as the ticket is the best to secure the future of this country and the best ticket to provide relief in the perilous economic environment we find ourselves in,” he said.

Dr. Ofosu Ampofo said despite being tagged as an economic whizkid, Dr Bawumia has superintended over the highest Cedi, Dollar ratio in the history of Ghana as well as the collapse of businesses and banks.

Dr Ofosu Ampofo said Dr Bawumia has nothing new to offer the people of Ghana, and urged electorate to reject him in the upcoming December 7 General Election.

He noted that the future of Ghana would be bright if left in the hands of the John and Jane ticket as former President Mahama and Prof. Opoku-Agyemang have the needed experience to managing the affairs of the country, and urged electorate to vote massively for the NDC’s presidential ticket.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang said the NDC was ready to implement the 24-Hour Economy policy, National Apprenticeship Programme, Women Development Bank, and the Big Push, among many other policies, to alleviate the hardship Ghanaians were going through.

She urged all registered voters to take part in the ongoing voter exhibition exercise, and also vote massively for Mr John Dramani Mahama and NDC parliamentary candidates on December 7, 2024.
