Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Sam Nartey George, has said President Nana Akufo-Addo's posture since the recent tidal wave flooding in Keta and its environs shows he does not care about the people there.
He said that it's been over 96 hours since the tidal wave hit the people of Keta and its surroundings but the President of the country hasn’t spoken about it.
"This happened on Sunday and today is Thursday, it has been 96 hours and counting. The President of the country has not spoken. We have not heard a word from him and for me that is unacceptable,” he said.
Speaking on Good Morning Ghana, the Ningo-Prampram legislator said the problem that the people of Keta are facing means nothing to President Akufo-Addo.
"He doesn’t care about them. If he did care about them, he would have at least paid a working visit or even spoken about it. He would have said something about it. Because this is somebody who is able to wish birthdays to pop stars outside the country and send congratulatory messages to footballers outside the country but the President is hard on hearing when it comes to his own people," he said.
Sam George said when a chief in one of the affected areas spoke about their abandoned E-blocks, the President rubbished it and told the chief to complete it himself.

He indicated that the President is clearly showing the people of Keta through his actions and inactions that he doesn’t care about them.
He made these comments on Thursday, November 11, 2021.
A few days ago, a tidal wave hit some communities in the Keta and Ketu South Municipalities, leaving hundreds of residents displaced.
A similar incident occurred in June this year when five communities -- Agavadzi, Salakope, Adina, Blekusu and Amutinu -- were hit by tidal waves, causing destruction to hundreds of properties and displacing more than 1,000 residents.
