Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah has denied reports making rounds that President John Mahama has been sharing cash to some  chiefs and elders of communities he has been visiting on his 2016 campaign tour.

A video and  some photos recently emerged in media showing President Mahama purportedly putting papers, rumoured to be money into the pocket of a man in smock with the backstory that, he had been offering money to opinion leaders in communities he has been visiting in order to get their support.

But according to Mr Debrah, "sometimes, the media creates some sensationalism and over-embellish their reportage" because the Mahama he knows will not share money for support.

Speaking on Joy FM Thursday morning, he said, "I haven't seen the video of John Mahama sharing anything, but knowing him, he wouldn't share money".

"The president could have been sharing leaflets but "knowing him, he will not share money", he asserted, adding that the President could not have been sharing money becuase they do not carry money on them.

Moreover, "president's do not carry cash on them. That is something that I didn't know till I worked in the presidency", he stated.
