Supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) erupted in celebration at the streets of Korle Gonno in the Ablekuma South constituency after Dr Mahamudu Bawumia congratulated John Mahama on his victory.
The atmosphere was electric, with music, dancing, and chants in support of Mahama's victory as they awaited the official announcement of the election results from the Electoral Commission.
Meanwhile, New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has conceded defeat to John Mahama in the just ended 2024 elections.
Speaking at his residence Bawumia stated that the Ghanaians have spoke and he respects their decision.
He also expressed his gratitude to Ghanaians for the opportunity to serve as a vice president and presidential candidate.

Bawumia assured Mahama that the transfer of power will go smoothly.
