Milovan Rajevac's second spell as Black Stars boss started has started on a good note after winning the doubleheader against Zimbabwe.
The 67-year-old who signed a 1-year renewable contract with the Black Stars in September following the exit of CK Akonnor has made his presence felt in the team as he has restored the nation's hope of qualifying for the World Cup 2022.
Below we look at the 4 talking points from Ghana vs Zimbabwe doubleheader.
Striker woes still exist
Ghana is yet to find the man who is capable of taking the mantle for the nation's all-time scorer, Asamoah Gyan. Milovan Rajevac in his first spell relied heavily on Asamoah Gyan's goals that help him win matches.
However, the worrisome form of Jordan Ayew will also cause some headaches for Rajevac. The coach used Jordan and Benjamin Tetteh were used in the two games and none of them scored.
Likely for Milovan, his attacking midfielders came to the party in both games.
Partey is not a player to sit deep
Partey in the two games showed how important it is to keep him further forward than sitting deep.
After being asked which position he prefers to play for the national team, the Arsenal midfielder was diplomatic, but one could tell he enjoys playing further forward which brings the best out of him.
Partey said, “It’s not about where I play for the Black Stars, it depends on the coach and any role I am given to play.
”I will just do whatever I’m asked to do to help the national team,” he added.
In the first game, he sat beep in the first half and when pushed forward in the second half he found the back of the net. On Tuesday, he was all over the pitch with his link-up play.

Milo restores confidence
After the opening two games against Ethiopia and South Africa, Ghana's chances of going to the World Cup were slim and the Ghana Football Association knowing Ghanaians will not forgive them if the nation miss out on another edition of the World Cup threw head coach CK Akonnor under the bus for poor performance.
His replacement Milovan Rajevac has all of the sudden restored the nation's believe that making it to the Mundial in Qatar is possible.
In the two games Ghana bagged six points, four goals scored and most importantly confidence restored among Ghanaians and the team.
The Milovan Rajevac effect on the Black Stars has been immediate and now getting through to the next stage of the qualifiers for Qatar 2022 doesn't sound so far-fetched.
Kudus the future
In Ghana’s two games versus Zimbabwe, Kudus served as the central nexus looking to link midfield and defense. Despite operating in the number 10 role of a 4-2-3-1, the midfielder often dropped a little deep into midfield to help the Black Stars buildup.
In situations where he did not drop, he picked up intelligent spaces between the lines of the Zimbabwean defense.
Amongst Ghana’s more attacking players, Kudus and Kamaldeen Sulemana were the most proactive and looked to create danger out of nothing.
Tough Calls
One thing Ghanaians have come to know about Milovan Rajevac is about his decision to make tough calls.
The coach in his first spell promoted many of the FIFA World Cup U-20 winning team which included Andre Ayew, Samuel Inkoom, Agyemang Badu, Jonathan Mensah among others.
The coach did not only promote the players but was bold enough to make them start ahead of the senior players like Sulley Muntari, Isaac Vorsah Stephen Appiah and others.
In his second spell, Milo has struck again, this time around he benched Andre Ayew in Tuesday game against Zimbabwe. Andre has been ever-present in the team even when not fit.
But Milo has shown the way that Andre won't enjoy that luxury anymore.
