Asante Kotoko have earned a hard-fought victory as they defeated Ashgold 3-2 in the first leg of the friendly clash at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Asante Kokoto fought hard to earn the victory as Songne Yacouba found the net twice.
The Porcupine Warriors showed their resilience as they came from behind twice to brush aside the Miners in Kumasi.
The first half produced two goals as Saddick Adams who was a former Porcupine Warrior scored the opener but the score was levelled by the Burkinabe, Yacouba who scored a fabulous free kick.

The Miners restored their lead in the second half by another former Player of Asante Kotoko, Eric Donkor.
The talisman again Yacouba levelled the scoreline with a header as defender Wahab Adams added the third goal to secure victory for the Porcupine Warriors.

Ashgold will have the chance to overturn the scoreline as they face Asante Kotoko in the second leg at the Len Clay Staduim on Sunday.Â
