The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially confirmed a nine-day intensive training camp in Senegal for the Black Queens, as preparations ramp up for the 2025 TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
Scheduled from April 1 to April 9, 2025, the camp will see the Queens engage in a series of friendly games ahead of the continental showdown.
Ghana will play two international friendlies on April 5 and April 8, with both games scheduled against the Teranga Lionesses of Senegal in Dakar.
Coach Kim Lars Björkegren will in the coming days, announce his squad for the training tour. This tour forms part of a crucial part of Ghana’s preparations for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Ghana is aiming to excel at this year’s WAFCON after failing to make it past the first round in the 2018 edition and failing to qualify to the 2022 edition.
Ghana is in Group C alongside South Africa, Tanzania and Mali; South Africa are the defending champions.
