Asante Kotoko players will receive $500 each as a bonus for qualifying the team to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Asante Kotoko beat Coton Sport 2-1 to advance to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup with a 5-3 win, having beaten the Cameroonians 3-2 in the first leg in Yaounde last week.
Nana Akwasi Gyembibi, Special Assistant to the Executive Chairman of the Porcupine Warriors promised the players $500 should they secured qualification to the next stage.
According to him, the said package is to motivate the players to work harder in the group stage of the competition.
The Reds have progressed to the group stage of CAF Confederation Cup for the first time since 2008.Â
