Ghana’s Coach Kwesi Appiah currently managing Sudanese top-flight side, Al Khartoum SC has been named as the ‘Best Coach’ in Sudan.
The former Black Stars manager on being crowned the best noted “grateful to God for the honour.â€
Appiah was particularly celebrated for his ability to spot and then groom players from his cub’s youth side to the senior team and generally improving the play and structure of the team.
His coaching acumen has resulted in 9 players from his Al Khartoum SC side featuring for the country’s senior national team.
Appiah himself acknowledges that since his entry to the club, players have halted the ballooning of balls.
His success at the club is already gingering some Ghanaians to call for his return to the Black Stars as national coach.
