FIFA has today September 13, 2018, outdoored the members of a Normalisation Committee to steer the affairs of Ghana Football.
The members of the committee are;
Naa Odofoley Nortey (Board member of Attorney General's Department)
Dr Kofi Amoah (Liaison Team Chairman)
Lawyer Dua Adonten (Former Kotoko Board member
Lucy Quist (Former Airtel CEO)
The Government of Ghana met FIFA in Switzerland on Thursday 16, August 2018 to discuss the ways of dealing with the crisis of football in the country.
FIFA after a meeting with the government of Ghana outlined several steps to resolve the current football crisis and one of the decisions they made was to take steps to form a normalization committee to replace the GFA EXCO.
The Normalisation Committee are expected to do the following:To run the GFA’s daily affairs and cooperate with the special task force once it has been set up by FIFA, CAF and the Government of Ghana;
To review the GFA statutes to ensure compliance with the requirements of FIFA and CAF, particularly art. 15 of the FIFA Statutes, and;
Once the GFA statutes meet the requirements of FIFA and CAF, to organise and conduct elections of a GFA executive committee on the basis of the revised GFA statutes.
The specified period of time during which the normalisation committee shall perform its functions shall expire when all of the above-mentioned tasks have been properly fulfilled, but by no later than 31 March 2019.
