The Black Stars of Ghana has dropped nine places on the latest rankings released by FIFA, Thursday, February 10.

Ghana is now ranked the 61st best men’s national team in the world according to February’s Africa FIFA rankings released by FIFA.

The Black Stars have shockingly missed out of the top ten (10) best male national teams on the Africa rankings following the country’s disastrous campaign at the just ended 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

The current position of the West African nation is the worst-ever place in the last decade. Ghana currently lies in 11th position on the Africa rankings.

Senegal after winning their first CAF Africa Cup of Nations title last weekend, Senegal continued their ascent into the upper echelons of world football.

In fact, the Lions of Teranga have climbed to 18th in this February’s edition of the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking, their highest ever position.

Unsurprisingly, the Cup of Nations generated most of the movement seen in the year’s first edition of the Ranking as the Gambia moves up to 125th place globally with the highest points gained in the last two months.

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 31 March 2022.
