Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan has revealed that he would probably have pursued a career involving Information technology had he not been a professional footballer.

The Porcupine's number one and FA Cup winner is set for a glittering career between the sticks. However, it could all be so different for the 24-year-old. Though he’s now one of the best shot-stoppers on the continent, he could have made it as I.T personnel.

“I started playing football in Achimota Zongo (a suburb of Accra) with a youth side called Shooting Stars. Then I joined Feyenoord Academy now West African Football Academy (WAFA) and that’s where my football professional life got shaped until I moved to Asante Kotoko”, Annan told CAFonline.com.

”If I was not into football, I would have gone into the field of Information Technology because I have a soft spot for that aspect as well”

Annan is unarguably one of the safest pair of hands in Ghana at the moment. His exploits have been crucial for Asante Kotoko’s journey in the Total CAF Confederation Cup and has earned him a call-up to the national team.

Annan and his teammates will have a mountain to climb at the Levy Mwanawasa Sports Stadium on Sunday when they face Zesco United in the final group c game.

The Porcupine Warriors have no choice than to beat Zesco United in this final group game to secure qualification to the quarter-finals of the competition.
