Chief Executive Officer of Hearts of Oak Frank Noonan says the club’s adopted venue the Cape Coast Stadium was the best option among other venues for the club.

Noonan disclosed this to the media after the club’s 1-0 defeat to Elmina Sharks in a friendly played at the Cape Coast Stadium last Sunday.

“The places near home that we looked at potentially could put our players at harm,"

“The playing surfaces, the dressing room and things like that,so there was a trade off,"
.
“Do you trade off distance vs quality of venue,or do you take the lack of a quality venue because it is closer"?

“Either way we are gonna have to make some sacrifices till Accra Sports Stadium is back".

Hearts of Oak had to adopt the Cape Coast Stadium after their original venue the Accra Sports Stadium is currently undergoing renovation.

Noonan also called on the club fans to support the club and make their way to the Cape Coast Stadium anytime Hearts play there.

“It is not an ideal situation but it is one we are not going to make excuses for.

“I hope our supporters don’t make excuses either because we need them behind us.

“Whether it is here or on the road because we cannot win without strong supporters,” he insisted.
