Ghana youth international Jerry Afriyie has sealed a move to Saudi Arabia Pro League side Al-Qadsiah FC in the ongoing winter transfer window.
The forward has penned a three-and-a-half-year deal with Saudi Arabian outfit from Ghanaian lower-tier side Thought FC.
As part of the deal, the 20-year-old striker will join Spanish third-tier club CD Lugo on loan for the remainder of the season to continue his development.
Afriyie’s impressive performances on the international stage earned him a debut call up into the Black Stars during a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Niger.
He was instrumental in Ghana’s gold medal win at the African Games, scoring the decisive goal in the final against Uganda.
Earlier at the 2024 WAFU B U-20 Championship in Togo, he earned the Best Player award and the Golden Boot, netting five goals in five matches as Ghana finished as runners-up.
Afriyie is expected to gain valuable experience in Spain before joining Al Qadsiya next season.
