Kwame Baah throws support behind underfire Razak Abalora after blunder

Kwame Baah has jumped to the defence of underfire Black Stars and Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Razak Abalora.

The latter has come under attack for his role in Ghana's 1-0 defeat to Morocco. 

Jawad El-Yamiq scored the only goal of the match in the 68th minute to give the Atlas Lions a narrow win at the FAR Sportive stadium

The defender forced the ball into the back of the net after Razak Abalora failed to deal with Hakim Ziyech’s free kick.

Baah who is the third choice goalkeeper at Kotoko has backed his compatriot to come good from the mistake.

"Mistakes have always been part of the game,Just that sometimes we as keepers ours becomes visible because we are basically the last men standing and that shows the weight of responsibility we hold, the best part is we learn and bounce back harder, he wrote"

Black Stars on Tuesday night suffered a 1-0 defeat to the Atlas Lions of Morocco at the Moulay Abdellah Complex in Rabat.

The game looked to end in a draw until Razak Abalora made a costly mistake that handed the North African side the win.

Jawad El Yamiq made no mistake to punish Ghana after the Kotoko keeper failed to deal with a cross from in the second half that separated the two teams on the day.

Ghana struggled for the rest of the proceedings and failed to find the equaliser.

The team will now return to Cape Coast to continue preparations for another friendly against Cote d’Ivoire on Saturday, June 12, 2021.
