Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu has disclosed the reasons behind the decision to sign free agent Isaac Agyenim Boateng.

The Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup champions have beefed up their team ahead of their participation in Africa as well as the 2021/22 domestic season with the 25-year-old signing.

Agyenim Boateng has signed a deal with Hearts of Oak after undergoing a mandatory medical examination last week.

According to Boadu, he gave the approval for Agyenim Boateng to be brought on board. He believes with his addition the team's attack would be sharper.

"I met him at Medeama SC, he's a very good player but underrated by many. I know his qualities that's why I recommended him to the management of Hearts of Oak to sign him," Boadu told Pure Sports.

"I asked the club to secure his service because we want to improve our upfront. His acquisition will help players like Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Kwadwo Obeng Junior and others to notch more goals,"

"He is a speedster and his output will shock most people in our games" he concluded.

Agyenim Boateng was unattached after ending his four-year stint at Tarkwa based Premier League outfit Medeama SC few months ago.

He was outstanding for the Mauves and Yellows in the Normalisation Committee special competition including the 2019/20 season that got halted by the Number 12 exposé.

He spent four seasons in Tarkwa. Agyenim Boateng joined Medeama from Asante Kotoko in May 2017
