Udinese and Ghanaian midfielder, Agyemang Badu, has said the Black Stars team is not for his mum or a family property where he is obliged to be in the squad at all times.
The player who was dropped in coach Kwesi Appiah's current squad said, he is unperturbed by the decision since everyone deserves to have a chance in the team.
"Whoever is in the team now deserves to be there. It is not like the team is for my mum so that I could always wake up and get into it as it is a family team but it is for the nation with over five million players in the country and outside,"he stated.
He said, he is not worried about coach Kwesi Appiah's refusal to invite him into the current squad but believes with hard work, he could return to the team.
"I am not thinking about that now. What I am thinking about is my club. I am on holidays now and the season would start very soon. The most important thing is to go there and do well and will get a call up,"he stated.
Badu, Mubarak Wakaso and Christian Atsu were not part of the team assembled by Kwesi Appiah to face Ethiopia in an African Cup qualifier and two friendly matches against Mexico and USA.
They are hoping to return into the team in the future though it appears there is currently a huge competition in the team.
