Following a wonderful display in the 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League, Operations Manager of West African Football Academy (WAFA) George Ofosu Hene has refute suggestions that WAFA are runaway winners of the league.
The Sogakope side are leading the Ghana Premier league with 20 points after ten games with many taunting them to have a run similar to Leicester City and WA All Stars in winning their respective leagues in 2016.
Operations manager of the academy boys George Ofosu Hene, however, confirmed to Class FM sports that he feels, talk of his side winning the title this season is premature.
“I will not say we have already won the league because we are playing 30th league matches a season and we have just played only 9 match, we would have to do away with complacency and play better to ensure that we don’t lose games, we would like to take it one match after the other and hope for the bestâ€.
WAFA will travel to Elmina today where they will come up against Elmina Sharks at the Nduom Sports Stadium in week ten of the Ghana Premier League.
