Ghana's national under-20 team, the Black Satellites will depart the country on Tuesday for the West Africa Football Union U-20 Championship.
The Black Satellites, who will depart to Togo today, consist of only local players.
Ghana will face Nigeria, Niger Republic and Benin Republic in Group B of the WAFU Under-20 Cup Tournament which happens to be a preparatory tourney for the Africa Youth Championship next year.
The head coach of the boys disclosed that the tournament will be an opportunity for the local players to justify their credentials.

“We believe the WAFU isn’t about the cup but its preparation," he told the press. "We have spent some time with the team during the qualifiers where we invited some European players. And now they are gone,†he added.
“So we have decided to look at the local players around and understudy them from now to the tournament. And we will know those who can make the team after the WAFU for AFCONâ€, Jimmy added.
The competition is staged in Lome, the capital of Togo from 6 December 2018 to 16 December 2018.
