Accra Hearts of Oak have denied some reports that the club proposed lawyer Amanda Clinton to contest for the Ghana Football Association Presidency.

Board Member Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe who issued signed the statement said: " On behalf of the Board, I wish to state that, no such decision has been taken by the club and therefore, these reports must be treated with the contempt it deserves.

The Board Chairman of the club, who is currently out of the country, is unaware of this supposed move and the club will soon come out with an official statement on the matter".'

Madam Amanda Clinton has also filed to run to for the GFA presidency after the Normalization Committee laid out the road map for the elections set for October 25, 2019 .

Personalities like George Afriyie, Kurt Okraku, Nana Yaw Amponsah, Kojo Yankah, George Ankomah Mensah and Fred Pappoe have also filed to contest for the position.

Apart from the Presidential elections, there will be elections for places on the GFA’s Executive Council. Also, Frederick Acheampong, Randy Abbey, Alhaji Grusah, among others filed their nomination forms.

Those who have submitted their nomination forms will have their forms reviewed and those deemed to be fit or purpose will head to the vetting which takes place between September 26 and October 1.
