On Friday, November 7, 2024, the Ghana Youth Tech Summit was held at the Accra Digital Center, gathering young innovators and thought leaders under the theme “Leveraging Technology for Social Impact.”
The event emphasized how technology can drive meaningful, positive change in society.
Lebanese Ambassador to Ghana, Maher Kheir, delivered a compelling address to the participants, highlighting technology’s potential to bridge divides and improve lives worldwide.
He encouraged young innovators to use their talents to tackle pressing global challenges like climate change, healthcare, and education. Ambassador Kheir stressed the importance of international collaboration, urging attendees to engage with communities, seek diverse perspectives, and ensure their projects positively and ethically impact society.
Following the Ambassador’s message, Isaac Newton Acquah shared his perspective on empowerment through technology. His formula for success—“Mindset * Creativity²”—emphasized that real empowerment starts with a mindset open to innovation, learning, and fresh ideas.
He introduced “Ideas in Motion,” encouraging young people to turn their ideas into practical solutions that address real-world issues. Isaac underlined how technology, when fueled by creativity and purpose, can inspire transformative projects that uplift communities and foster global progress.
The Ghana Youth Tech Summit aims to equip young people with the skills, inspiration, and network to use technology for social good. Through discussions, workshops, and networking, the summit seeks to empower youth to become change-makers, using technology to build a better, more inclusive future for Ghana and beyond.
