It may no more be news for most of us who have been around or more so, participated either as producers or users of mobile technology, particularly in communication: the thought of an infrared in the late 1990s straight into the new millennium when we began to replace that with the Bluetooth among others.
Much more fascinating is the application of these technologies in quite a practical way that makes it easier for people to answer calls without having to dip hands into their pockets, and wirelessly exchange contents with other mobile device users.
Now as a further complement to this: tech giant – Google has in partnership with US clothing giant, the Levi’s produced a denim jacket with technology woven into the fabric known as the Jacquard.
The tech which is designed to work with smartphone via Bluetooth, provides anyone who uses the jacket control key functions with just a brush or tap of the cuff. For instance, a tap or two with the fingers would start or stop music; an obvious relieve for the regular buttons of the mobile device that are so often worn-out by repeated use.
The Jacquard is just one of Google’s numerous projects that were planned-out between 2015 and last year for the future. Some others included the Ara, its modular phone project which was aborted late last year following intelligence leaks on the proposed smartphone published by Reuters in September 2016; the Vault, a computer that is designed to run on Micro Secured Digital (SD) cards, etc. One could only imagine what would be the next innovation in techs of this kind.
