Bank of Ghana Governor steps down after one year in office

With just a few days to his first anniversary, Dr Abdul  Nashiru Issahaku has resigned as the Governor of Bank of Ghana.

According to news reports, he has tendered in his resignation letter and will leave his position at the start of next month.

Dr Issahaku, the reports add, cited personal reasons for his decision to step down.

He is the second Governor of Ghana's Central Bank to resign in the last year as his predecessor, Dr Henry Kofi Wampah also resigned in late March last year with about five months left on his tenure.
