The 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards came off in grand style at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC), Saturday, April 14 and Fancy Gadam made his people proud by winning 2 awards for the night.
Fancy Gadam won ‘Hiplife Song of the Year’ and ‘Song of the Year’ with his song ‘Total Cheat’, which featured rapper Sarkodie. However, the ‘Song of the Year’ win left a bitter pill in the mouth of Swedru-based artiste Patapaa.
The streets of Tamale were once again chocked with fans, several motor riders and drummers to welcome their 'son' after his success at the VGMA awards.
In a tweet, Fancy Gadam confirmed 2 Tamale kings "Tamale Gukpenaa" and "Tamale Dakpema" voted for him to win the awardÂ
