Entertainment and showbiz guru, Mark Okraku Mantey, has lauded Parliament for approving his nomination as Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture.
Taking to his Facebook wall shortly after getting the green light through consensus, Mark said the Appointments Committee that vetted him did a good job.
“I am grateful to the members of Ghana’s parliament for approving my nomination as Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture. I applaud the Appointments Committee for the good work. Thank you,†he said.
Mark Okraku Mantey’s standing in the showbiz industry is huge.
As the founder of Slip Music, he has worked with artists including Oheneba Kissi, Lord Kenya, Daasebre Gyamena, Adane Best, Akyeame and Kumi Guitar.
He was also an executive producer of TV comedy series Efiewura.
Mr Okraku-Mantey also helped organise some of Ghana big events including the MTN Highlife Festival.
He is also a member of the Vodafone Ghana Music Award board.
